Wynford Vaughan-Thomas narrates a raid on Berlin in 1943

On 3-4 September 1943 BBC commentator Wynford Vaughan-Thomas recorded a first-hand eyewitness account of an RAF bombing raid in Berlin.

He began his report - subsequently broadcast on BBC radio - from inside one of the Lancaster bombers ("F" Freddy of 207 Squadron) taking off from Langar airfield in Nottinghamshire.
