Edwinstowe Hall

Part of the hall is early 18th century (cf hipped roof, pedimented dormer windows), but some are mid 18c eg rainwater head dated 1757.

Inside Pevsner (p.120) notes some fine 18c surviving features including the splendid two-storey drawing room of 1751.  The ceiling of this in Rococo fashion with cherubs in low relief on the central panel.

Latterly the house was used as a Notts County Council children's home, with additions to the property being made by the county architect

This link will take you to the Cultural Report for the building and is very comprehensive.

The current owner has recently allowed to photograph the inside and we will be putting this on the site shortly.

Hope this helps.
