A lost village

A lost village in the parish of Lenton

The (now lost) village of Keighton is said (by Philimore*) to have existed in the parish of Lenton.

He writes (p.68), "...two villages, Morton and Keighton of which even the site is a matter of doubt, though some slight remembrance of the latter was in Thoroton's day still preserved in the Keigh Closes"
