Melton street and arkwight school

By Hilary Davidson

Hi Joy Spavin, yes I do remember you and your family, you lived right at the top of Melton terrace, my name is Hilary Davidson nee Hunt, I lived at Taylor's Cottages, I remember Christine Bell, Gwen Geacock and her brothers,  so many memories of that street, and there was a little shop run by Beryl Bobbin and her Polish husband,I could go on and on, I remember Mr Hutchinson the head teacher , lovely man, I was only young and small but felt safe in those days going to school on my own or with a friend .I remember such a lot about the meadows and the people  who we all seem to know one another,  I then went on to Trent Bridge  school for girls, and there lies a lot of memories,  I would love to hear more from you and others who may remember me.
