12 & 13 August 2017: 10am until 5pm each day (last admission at 4pm)

Description of event

This weekend event will be a follow-up event form the 2015 Victory Days Weekend and will include 40's attractions such as: the Anderson Shelter and Dig for Victory Garden experience, music, re-enactors, period traders, Tea Tent, period food, vintage civilian / military vehicles, and displays of period clothing and other items; all set amidst the museum's aircraft collection. Anyone visiting is encouraged to wear period clothing but no Axis uniforms will be allowed as this is a Home Front event. The aim is for there to be an American forces focus to pick up on their time at nearby RAF Balderton. As ever the event organisers at the museum would like to hear from any local history groups or societies that might be interested in participating at the event. Anyone who is interested should use the contact details below to get in touch with the museum.
