Newark: Ransome & Marles' factory fire brigade

The R&M fire brigade picture was taken in June 1955

Regarding the R&M Fire Brigade Picture. The man standing 6th from the right is James Morgan Campbell, who worked at R&M from 1938. The chap standing to his right, in the centre of the picture was Chief Officer A E Rogers. The Advertiser reference for this picture is 3057-6. (submitted by James Campbell's daughter-in-law). A Newark Herald Picture dated 7th June 1952 shows a similar line-up, and gives names.

Regarding the R&M Fire Service picture - the names are as follows (From the left): Fred Fletcher, Walter Cooling, Jack Trickett, Alan Thompson, Doug. Travers, Edwin Lee, Alfred Rogers, James Campbell, Trevor Greenfield, Tony Jarman, Rowland Longmate, Albert Cawthorne & Walt Salmon. The copy of the picture I have is a Newark Advertiser one, Ref. 3051.5, but is identical to the above.
