The war memorial  at the West Door of St Marys Church Newark is in honour of the "Officers, NCOs and men" of the 67th Field Company  Royal Engineers who trained in Newark and died in Gallipoli and France in the First World War, and to the parishioners who also died.

152 men of Newark and 45 Royal Engineers are named.
