Rufford Park

Now for something different!

By Pauline Marples

Over the years when walking in Rufford Country Park we have seen a wide variety of sculptures and carvings of varying designs/styles, and also a great variety of birds.

This morning (3/3/2015) we discovered one we had not seen before, the colour was vibrant against the white snow.

Someone had put bird food on its forehead the birds also loved it. Spot the nuthatch on picture 1 & 1a, and the coal tit plus blue tit in the tree on picture 2 & 2a.

Does anyone know anything more about this carving?
