A Bowls team of the 1930s (?)
This photograph would appear to have been taken at a bowls club, and there is evidence on the picture to suggest it is in Leigh-on-Sea. - possibly in the 1930s.
Two well-known people from Newark are featured in the picture
Sitting on the front row, 5th from the right, is Frederick Suter who ran an electrical business in Newark
On the second row, second from the left, is Jack ('Jackie') Chambers who was a photographer in Newark.
Could it be an outing/away fixture of a Newark bowls club to Leigh? It is not known, however, whether Mr Suter or Mr Chambers played bowls.
Can anyone help with a location, or the names of anyone else in the picture and whether they were bowls players
