[Sutton-in-Ahsfield] History of Rattlejag Morris in words, music and dance

Description of event

Rattlejag Morris will be entertaining Sutton in Ashfield Heritage Society with their historically-informative performance presentation in words, music and dance. The side's repertoire is a respectful but imaginative recreation of the dance and music traditions of Nottinghamshire, Lincolnshire and East Yorkshire, developed out of the research done by a member of the team, Chris Rose. Using original quotations going back in time and illustrating this through music and dance, the side will take you through the history of morris dance and related customs in our region.
