Who is this Royal Flying Corps soldier?

I have this photograph that was part of my mother's or aunts collection and feel that this man is a relative.

There was a Lance Corporal Christopher Hallam who transferred from the Royal Marines Light Infantry to the RFC (77450). Your man has that rank (or even Full Corporal) on his sleeve. That was effectively a transfer from Navy to Army, quite unusual to find RMLI mentioned in Army records - the Medal Card Index (available free at county libraries on Ancestry.com) in this case. No mention of his having been in the RNAS which would make going to the RFC more likely. It does not look as though he stayed on for the RAF either.
