The Seven Sisters Oak, drawn by Emma Wilmot in the early 19th century

Emma Wilmot (1820 - 1898) was the wife of the agent to the 4th Duke of Newcastle at Clumber Park, Notts. She produced many charming sketches of the buildings and landscapes of north Nottinghamshire which have now been gathered into a book entitled "Emma's Sketchbook". See the 'Books to Buy' section of this website
