"Babworth consists of little more than church, rectory and Hall pleasantly grouped amid trees, and presenting a delightful picture.

"The church (All Saints), which contains monuments of the Simpson and Eyre families, is associated with the Pilgrim Fathers through its minister, Richard Clifton, one of the earliest of the Separatists".
