The Stanhope tomb

The alabaster monuments in the parish church of St.Peter & St.Paul, Shelford, are as follows:-

Tomb of Lady Anne Stanhope. died 1587, with her eight children kneeling alongside on the north side of the tomb.  Three more are depicted, swathed, on the west side.  The face of Lady Anne is much worn.
