Books to read:

There’s a short, accessible biography of Arthur called “Arthur Mee’s Dream of England” by Maisie Robson.

"Arthur Mee" by Gillian Elias is well illustrated and accessible reading for children.

A longer biography, “Child of Wonder”,  by Arthur’s lifelong friend and fellow journalist, John Hammerton is worth a look.

Try these websites for more information:

Arthur Mee published a long-running children's newspaper: "the most cheerful newspaper in the world".  It is being digitised an issue at a time here.

The Arthur Mee site you will find here is respectful of copyright issues and accurate in correcting some of the mistaken biographical details you may find elsewhere.
